What personal data we collect and why we collect it

If you subscribe to our newsletter, or submit your email address in any of our opt-in forms, or promotional offers , your email address and your IP address will be stored on our servers (in European Union Region), and on Aweber servers (Outside EU Region). Aweber is our email service provider.

For the first time you register your email address, using any opt-in form on our website (except for contact form, in contact page), your data will be sent to Aweber, and you will receive a confirmation email via Aweber. When you click (or tap) on the confirmation button or link, your confirmation data will be sent back to Aweber.

Your email address along with other data provided by you (e.g. name) will be stored in our mailing list, on Aweber’s servers (Outside EU Region).

When you unsubscribe from any of the mailing lists, we stop sending you further emails, but your email address will still remain on our mailing list. This is because of the technical design of Aweber’s service and not because we want it to work that way.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

The data stored on Google Servers (see Analytics) will remain on their servers.

Email addresses provided to us will remain in our mailing lists, even if you unsubscribe, unless you send us a request to completely remove it. (Please read the Aweber section in this page, to know why this is the case.)

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In addition to all that explained in this page, our servers (within European Union) will store the data such as (but not limited to) your IP address, your Browser and Operation System type in log files. No personal information (such as email address) will be stored in log files.

We use Dedicated or Virtual Private web servers to host our websites. We keep the Operation System of our servers up to date, and implement world class software and methods to keep our data safe.

We keep our website software (WordPress) and its plugins up-to-date.
But because of the dynamic and risky nature of the Internet, and due to the fact that any piece of hardware and software has been developed and being maintained by different people or companies, we cannot claim nor guarantee that we have full control over the safety or security of the data.

Web servers might get hacked. Security Issues and Bugs may be discovered in software, and before the fix is ready, they may get exploited by hackers to access the data.

Therefore, while we try our best to keep the data safe and secure, there’s no way to guarantee the safety and security of the personal data.
